West Gate Bridge Strengthening Project
25+ generators maintained, many running 24/7
ECG supplied units to the principal contractor and maintained more than 25 generators across the project, most running non-stop. Servicing was scheduled after hours to stay clear of works, and we stayed on call around the clock for breakdowns, often on-site within half an hour of a call.
High-rise generator removal
Three 10-tonne Caterpillar sets off the 15th floor
We removed three 10-tonne-plus G399 gas-powered Caterpillar generators from the 15th floor of a city building. The job meant partial disassembly, moving each unit 30 metres to a roof penetration, and a 200-tonne crane lift onto waiting trucks. Back at our workshop the units were rebuilt, tested and resold through our sales division.
